Just Got to Be Slow Cooker Turkey Stew

Mmmmm…what’s that cooking in your pot?
Turkey stew with orzo pasta, Italian herbs, dried cranberries and a chopped carrot!

Ah yes…it’s the lively songs “Howlin’ For You” and “Just Got To Be”!

A no fuss flavor-packed recipe paired with two equally delicious tunes!
Sometimes simple is best!

Slow Cooker Turkey Stew
Turkey breast, carrots, orzo pasta and sweetened cranberries in a creamy Italian sauce 

1 lb boneless, skinless turkey breast, cubed
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 medium carrots, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
¾ cup orzo pasta
½ cup sweetened dried cranberries
2½ cups chicken broth
1½ tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper


Place turkey cubes, celery, carrots, onions, garlic, pasta and cranberries in slow cooker. In a medium bowl whisk together broth, flour, Italian seasoning and pepper. Add to slow cooker.

Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours or until turkey and pasta are fully cooked. Serve.

Volume: Makes 4 Servings

  1. That looks great. I love slow cooker dinners. I also absolutely lurve the last Black Keys disk. I'll have to check out their earlier stuff. I'm not familiar with Just Got To Be....but I will be soon.

  2. The earlier Black Keys stuff is much more raw...worth checking out!
