This Week's Cooking Playlist

The more college radio station sites I visit the more awesome music I discover. The first two songs on this week's list were found on (University of Ottawa).

Track #1 - "Drinking Games" by Library Voices
Began the week with this "clap along song" to get things started off right in the kitchen. It worked!

Track #2 - "Fast Peter" by Moonface
Time lapse music for cooking...can't think of a better way to describe it.

Track #3 - "Brutal Hearts" by Bedouin Soundclash
For a cool laid back sound when you cook. Great tune!

Track #4 - "Whirring" by The Joy Formidable
The title makes me think of blenders. I love things prepared in blenders. Could be why I like this song so much!

Track #5 -"Louie Louie" by The Kingsmen
Theme song from the classic college movie Animal House. Goes well with nacho dip around mid-party when everyone's had a few. Be prepared for a sing-along.

Your turn. What tune would you add to this week's playlist?

Post by Brent "The Kitchen Roadie" Garell who is proud to have lived in Whidden Hall...the residence that was apparently the inspiration for the movie Animal House.

  1. With the exception of Louie Louie (I did see Animal House about 100 times) I have not heard of any of those songs. Can't wait to check them out.
