Let's Dig In!

Do you enjoy drinking Caesars? How about lime flavored beer? If you answered yes to both, then step up to the bar my good friend and stir yourself a Michelada (pronounced mee-chay-lah-dah)

This simple beer concoction, which tastes like a cross between a Bud Lime and Clamato Caesar, is a Mexican specialty that adds a different dynamic to your typical glass of beer.

The first time I sipped a Michelada my reaction was “what the…”

By the 3rd and 4th swig I was more like “wow that’s pretty good!”

If you search how to make this drink online you’ll discover that everyone has their own variation.  Now I've added mine to the mix…hope it keeps you refreshed this weekend!

Song Pairing: Go with “Mexican Radio” by Wall of Voodoo or even "Sambrosa" by Beastie Boys but for goodness sake NO MACARANA!

Lime flavored beer with Worcestershire and Tabasco sauce

Juice of 1 lime
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco Sauce
Pinch each of salt and pepper
1 bottle of beer

In a measuring cup, stir together lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, salt and pepper.

Slowly pour beer and lime juice mixture, simultaneously, into a pilsner glass filled with a few cubes of ice.

Drop in a lime wedge and serve.

Volume: Makes a single serving
